The service
Lenn is a companion: when you ask, it listens to a conversation, keeps what matters, remembers people and promises, and answers you. It works on iPhone, Apple Watch, Mac and in the browser.
Lenn Cloud is the version we host, by subscription. The software is also available as open source, to install on your own server: in that case, only the software licences apply (see “Open-source software”).
Your account
- Lenn Cloud is for adults only.
- You sign in with a code sent by email: keep access to your mailbox, and tell us if you think it has been compromised.
- One account is one person. It cannot be shared.
- You can connect several devices and disconnect any of them at any time.
Listening responsibly
This is the most important part. Lenn only listens when you ask, and you remain responsible for what you let it hear.
- Let the people present know. Laws on recording conversations vary by country and region; in many places, everyone must agree. You must follow the ones that apply where you are. Our guide Listening with respect helps.
- Don’t use Lenn to monitor someone, listen to them without their knowledge, or gather evidence against a person behind their back.
- Follow the laws and rules of the places you are in, and those of your organisation.
- No automated use: no scripts, no reselling of access, no bulk transcription of recordings that are not yours.
If these rules are not followed, we may suspend the account, after writing to you except in an emergency.
Health and important decisions
Lenn helps you remember what was said, including at the doctor’s. It is not a medical device: it does not diagnose, does not recommend treatment, and can be wrong. For any decision about your health, follow your doctor’s advice. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
What Lenn can do, and its limits
Lenn relies on artificial intelligence models. It may mishear a word, mix up people, or summarise poorly. That is why every answer shows the moment it comes from: check the source before an important decision. Lenn never promises a feature that is not really available on your device.
Plans, prices and trial
- Plans, their usage limits and prices, in US dollars and euros, are described on the Lenn Cloud page, with how taxes apply.
- The free trial lasts 14 days. You can stop it at any time, at no cost.
- The subscription is monthly or yearly, paid in advance by card through Stripe, and renews automatically. You receive an invoice for each payment.
- We email you at least 30 days before any price change. You can cancel before it applies.
- Each plan includes an amount of listening and voice conversation per month. When you get close, Lenn tells you simply. We never charge extra without your agreement.
Right of withdrawal
If the law where you live gives you a right of withdrawal, simply use it by writing to lenn@synapsr.io, without giving a reason. If the paid period had already started, we refund you for the unused time, pro rata.
Cancelling and leaving
- You can cancel at any time from your account: the subscription ends at the end of the period already paid.
- Before leaving, export your memories in one click, in an open format. They are yours.
- You can delete your account at any time. Your data is then erased as described in our privacy policy.
- In case of a serious breach of these terms, we may close your account after writing to you, leaving you time to export your data.
Your data
Your memories belong to you. You only allow us to process them to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. We do not sell them and do not use them to train AI models.
Availability and changes
We do our best to keep Lenn Cloud running at all times, without being able to guarantee it: maintenance, an outage at a provider or on your connection. Your listening is kept on your device first, then sent as soon as possible. Lenn evolves: we may add, change or remove features, and we tell you when a change affects you.
Liability
We are liable for direct damage caused by a failure on our part, within the limits set by law. We are not responsible for how you use Lenn, nor for the content of the conversations you let it hear. Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law grants you as a consumer.
Open-source software
Lenn’s server and web app are published under the AGPL-3.0 licence, the Apple apps under the MIT licence. Their code is available on GitHub. Apps downloaded from the App Store are also subject to Apple’s standard licence agreement.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a significant way, we will email you at least 30 days in advance. If you disagree, you can cancel before they apply.
Governing law and disputes
